which is probably never.
traveling like i have been, i've seen lots of people.
people that i will never again see in my life and i think it's bizarre.
on my way to the airport in valencia, i saw this guy at the train station.
then i saw him on the bus to the airport. then i saw him at the gate. and not that there was anything between us, we just noticed each other. and as he was in line to board his plane, he kept looking at me and i at him. and as he walked through the door into the neverending abyss (of what i assume is an eastern european country), he took one last look at me. and honestly, that's what it was - his last look.
then i couldn't help but think 'i've seen so many people in the last 4 months, some that i've seen every day and some that i've only seen once, but many that i won't ever see again in my life.' that just seems a little weird to me. but...c'est la vie, i guess.

a love affair.
i hate to admit that i'm having a love affair. i'm madly in love and i just can't choose. amsterdam has so much to offer. coffee shops. diversity. culture. english. dutch. the best-dressed men. the most attractive men. laid-back feel. it is just incredible. brussels has so much to offer as well. aside from the consistent rain, it's beautiful. the architecture. the french-speaking people. the shopping. the culture. the style. the waffles. the chocolate. and then there's always geneva, who just happens to sneak in whenever it damn well pleases. i mean, geneva is wonderful. it's clean. it's beautiful. the people are wonderful. how does a girl choose which city is her favorite in the world??

side note
here are just a couple of things i never though i'd be excited for:
- doing laundry in america (mostly because my senora has successfully ruined ALL of my whites and a few other things at that)
- a big bowl of cereal (i'm sick of toast with jam and tea because i've eaten it every morning for the past 3 months)
- sitting down in a comfortable chair in a coffee shop (i.e. java house, house of aromas, even starbucks)
- smelling my house (i won't even go into detail about this one...)
- AMERICAN guys (i've had enough spanish mullets, overly-gelled hair, and the mixture of the two)
- being on campus (campus here is somewhat like an institution - a mental one.)
- driving my car (public transportation in spain smells bad)
i think that's about all for now. i will add, however, that i've never been so upset about laundry in my life!
